Services of an Ashiya Municipal library
- When you borrow books for the first time If you ;
- live in Ashiya，Amagasaki ,Inagawa, Itami,Kawanishi, Sanda, Nishinomiya or Takarazuka or
- are a student or a worker in Ashiya then you must bring proof of either residence, current employment or student status to be eligible to get a library card.
- When you borrow books
Be sure to use your library card. It can borrow the number of books that you can read in 2 weeks. - When you return books
Please return the books to either the main library
or at other locations in Ashiya (Ⅰ～ Ⅲ) by the due date on the bookmarker which came with the book.
Even on library holidays, you can return the books at the drop boxes next to the library’s either east or west entrance. (Only the main library)
At the other libraries, you can’t return the books except on open days.
(Caution) Do not return CDs or Floppy Disks at the drop box.
(Caution) If you borrowed a book from Hyogo Prefecture Library or another city’s through Ashiya City Library,
please don’t return the book at the drop boxes. - If you can’t find the book that you want or you would like to obtain further information.
Ask the librarians.
If the book you want is checked out, you can make a request for the book to be held for you.
If we don’t have the book you are looking for here at Ashiya City Library, we might be able to purchase it after a certain period of time or, we might be able to borrow the book from another library.

1.Copying
Only library’s materials
Photocopying at 10 yen per sheet.
2.For physically challenged library members
You can take advantages of these services; books of Braille, audiotapes, or delivery.
3.Scheduled functions
story telling, origami classes.
4.On the Internet
You'd be available to search the Internet for informations of books we have in the library.
If the book you want is check out , you can make a request on the Internet.
Mobile library "TOKIMEKI-GO" is abolished at the end of March, 2003.
